CAASPP Testing Window – We will continue with CAASPP testing this week:
- May 5th – 8th: Our plan is to provide testing windows on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to complete the Math portion. Approximately two days to complete the CAT, and about two days to complete the PT.
SIXTH GRADE CAMP IS ONLY ONE WEEK AWAY!
Important Camp Notes
Departure: Monday, May 12th, 2025 at approximately 9:00am
- The front gate will be open for sixth grade campers at 8:00am.
- All students are required to be seated with their class in the auditorium by 8:30am.
- Students will first drop off their belongings by the bus loop and then come back to wait in the auditorium.
- Parents may wait with their student before they are called to get in line to head on the bus.
- Make sure to label ALL belongings.
- If your student has any medications, please bring it to the school nurse’s office the week before camp. Please make sure all prescribed medication is in the original container with your child’s name and directions. For over the counter medication, please make sure the container is labeled with your child’s name. No medication is to be sent inside your child’s bag.
- Please leave all cellphones at home.
- Please do not bring any money or anything of value.
- If you need to contact us for any reason, please email your child’s respective teacher.
Return: Friday, May 16th, 2025 at approximately 11:30am
- Our return time is approximate due to traffic conditions. We will try to update the office staff and they will let parents waiting know a more precise time as we get closer.
- Please plan to pick up your student as soon as we get back. Your child can go home immediately. Students may not walk or ride the bus home.
Supplies List – Keep checking the weather reports and pack accordingly! The week looks to be perfect weather but slightly chilly at night.


Camp Gear – If you would like to purchase camp gear for your child, it must be done online. There will be no sales at camp so please do not send any money. Items purchased will be distributed at camp.

Class of 2025 Jump Around Field Trip! – We will be having our class field trip to Jump Around on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025! Please complete and send in your child’s permission slip, online waiver, payment of $20 cash by Friday, May 9th. Students will have access to the ENTIRE facility for the day and lunch will be provided!!!!! Thank you!

Nightly Homework – Please make sure your child is getting daily practice by ensuring they do their homework nightly, Monday through Friday. Students will utilize a daily planner to keep track of daily practice. Please initial nightly and sign at the end of the week. Every night, your child should be:
- Reading for at least 30 minutes
- Completing approximately 20 minutes of math practice on either Teams, IXL.com, or iReady
- Playing iReady for 15 minutes, Monday through Thursday
Accelerated Reader – We are on week 5 of our 9-week quarter. That means your child should have approximately 55% of their AR goal. We expect all students in sixth grade to read for one hour each day, Monday through Friday. Students read for 30 minutes in class daily and should also be reading for 30 minutes for homework.
