All students are required to be seated with their class in the auditorium by 8:30am.
Students will first drop off their belongings by the bus loop and then come back to wait in the auditorium.
Parents may wait with their student before they are called to get in line to head on the bus.
Make sure to label ALL belongings.
If your student has any medications, please bring it to the nurse’s office prior to camp. Please make sure all prescribed medication is in the original container with your child’s name and directions. For over the counter medication, please make sure the container is labeled with your child’s name. No medication is to be sent inside your child’s bag.
Please leave all cellphones at home.
Please do not bring any money or anything of value.

Our return time is approximate due to traffic conditions. We will try to update the office staff and they will let parents waiting know a more precise time as we get closer.

Camp Gear – If you would like to purchase camp gear for your child, it must be done online. There will be no sales at camp so please do not send any money. Items purchased will be distributed at camp.
What: Chalk Walk is a school wide event. Classes will work collaboratively to recreate a book cover in chalk on the sidewalk.
Where: At the front of the school (on the sidewalk)
When: Wednesday, May 29th
How (can I help): We need a minimum of 2 volunteers per classroom on May 29th from 8:30-1:00 (Lunch will be provided for our volunteers). Volunteers will be supervising students as they color in the artwork. We also need volunteers to help prep the day before (May 28th). Come anytime between the hours of 9:00-12:00. We need assistance drawing grids and a simple sketch of the art. No drawing experience needed. If you can’t make it in person, you can help by donating blue painter’s tape and baby wipes. We will also need shop vacs and canopies to borrow.
Why: We want to keep Wolf Canyon tradition alive! And we love art and books!

CAASPP Testing Window – We will continue with CAASPP testing this week:
May 13th-16th: Our plan is to provide testing windows on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to complete the Math portion. Approximately two days to complete the CAT, and about two days to complete the PT.

Class of 2024 Jump Around Field Trip! – We will be having our class field trip to Jump Around on Thursday, May 30th, 2024! Students will have access to the ENTIRE facility for the day and lunch will be provided!!!!! Thank you!
End-of-year Testing Supplies – As we approach our assessments to conclude the year, many of this year’s tests will be online and require headphones. If possible, please send your child with a pair of CORDED headphones or earbuds in order to use for testing purposes. They should keep headphones inside their backpack and only utilize them during tests that require audio portions. If your child is unable to bring headphones or earbuds, please let us know. Thank you!
Accelerated Reader – We are on week 7 of our 10-week quarter. That means your child should have 70% of their AR goal. We expect all students in sixth grade to read for one hour each day, Monday through Friday. Students read for 30 minutes in class daily and should also be reading for 30 minutes for homework. You can stay updated with your child’s progress by logging into AR HOMECONNECTutilizing the link on the right column (To login, use your child’s six digit ID and the password is their initials lowercased and birthday (i.e.xx01012001). Once logged in, you can add your email address and receive a message every time your child finishes a book and takes an Accelerated Reader quiz.
