Welcome back to the second quarter! We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break. We missed you so much and can’t wait to get started on the next ten weeks before winter break!

Picture Day! – Next Monday, October 13th, 2025, will be Picture Day at Wolf Canyon!

Nightly Homework – Please make sure your child is getting daily practice by ensuring they do their homework nightly, Monday through Friday. Students will utilize a daily planner to keep track of daily practice. Please initial nightly and sign at the end of the week. Every night, your child should be:

• Reading for at least 30 minutes
• Completing approximately 15 minutes of assigned math practice on either iReady, Teams, or IXL.com.
• Playing iReady My Path for 15 minutes of differentiated practice, Monday through Thursday.

Accelerated Reader – As we start a new quarter, you child should be receiving a new Accelerated Reader goal. We expect all students in sixth grade to read for one hour each day, Monday through Friday. Students read for 30 minutes in class daily and should also be reading for 30 minutes for homework.

• November 11th – Veterans Day (No School)
• November 24th – 28th – Thanksgiving Break (No School)
• December 19th – Last Day of Second Quarter

We wish all our families a well-deserved and relaxing break! Your student has done an amazing job this first quarter of sixth grade. We are very proud of each student and their progress towards middle school. Please take the next two weeks to recharge, disconnect from devices, and reconnect with friends and family. We look forward to seeing you for the first day of the second quarter. School will resume on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. We will miss you!!! <3

Fall Break – We have reached our first break! We wish everyone a fantastic fall break and we are so proud of the progress of all of our students! Please take time to relax and recharge before second quarter. Make sure to spend time with family and enjoy a good book. School will resume on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025. We’ll see you in two weeks!!!

Parent-Teacher Conferences – We will continue with Parent Teacher Conferences all this week. Please remember, students will be dismissed at 1:45pm. This schedule will remain for the rest of the week. The last day of this quarter will be September 19th and students will enjoy a two-week break before the start of the second quarter. We look forward to seeing you soon!
